Successful completion of the class qualifies a person to purchase for $50 their Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (CPWO) on Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s (DEEP) Online Sportsmen Licensing System. The CPWO allows an individual to operate any recreational vessel up to 65ft. including a personal watercraft. This class includes the Safe Waterski Endorsement. Please check age restrictions for operating vessels with engines greater than 10 horsepower, personal watercraft, and waterskiing.
Advance registration through DEEP’s Hunter and Boater Education system is required. You must attend the full class and pass a proctored exam on the final day to successfully complete the class.
