Deer Lake Outdoor Center is thrilled to invite you to go birding with Michael DiGiorgio: Saturday, May 10, from 9 – 11 am. When you go birding with Michael DiGiorgio, you’re going birding with the source. He’s an internationally recognized artist who has contributed illustrations for several of the bird identification books you’re likely to use.
As a resident of Madison and member of the Board of Directors of the Madison Land Conservation Trust, he’s intimately familiar with all the local birds, and equally at home with the rarest of the visitors. Walking with Mike is a relaxed, low-key and pleasurable introduction to the world of birding that will, at the same time, be infinitely informative.
During this class, Mike will guide participants through some of the basics of birding, support birders in identifying key bird habitats and share his vast knowledge of our local birds!
While this is an introductory class, birders of all levels will certainly take something away from this experience – whether you’re a beginner or looking to sharpen your bird identification skills, this class will provide the knowledge and tools needed to enhance your bird watching experience.
