Deer Lake property is privately owned by Pathfinders, Inc. We welcome visitors daily from dawn to dusk to walk and hike our trails, unless otherwise posted.* Please check-in at the Ranger’s Office to let us know you are here and for a copy of our trail map.
*We reserve the right to close the property to visitors during private events
Yes, Deer Lake is a great spot for some outdoor fun with your furry friends. Please respect other guests by keeping your dog on a leash at all times and picking up and properly disposing of your pet’s waste.
No, our trail beds are designed for hiking. We do not permit any motorized vehicles on our trails, including e-bikes.
Deer Lake is a Leave No Trace Facility. Please follow Leave No Trace Principals including packing out your trash. There are pit toilets located throughout Deer Lake for your use. Please do not use them as trash cans, only toilet paper should be disposed of in the toilets. There is potable water available year round at the center of camp and seasonally near campsites dispersed throughout the property.

For the health of our lakes and to prevent the spread of invasive species, private watercraft are not permitted at Deer Lake. Rowboat, canoe, and kayak rentals are available. Contact the Ranger for more information. Not sure where to begin? Instructional boating classes are also available.
Yes, we host several weddings a year. Deer Lake is available for your big day whether you want to reserve a specific site or the entire camp.
We are not open for weddings June-August as all our resources are dedicated to running our Day Camp program during that time.
Yes, come check us out! While we maintain strong ties to the scouting community and host multiple scouting groups every weekend, we also welcome other groups and families. We offer a variety of year-round camping options from tent space to cabins. We also offer custom programming for individuals or groups. We do not offer public swimming options currently. Our waterfront docks and swimming areas are in place for our Summer Day Camp programs. Swimming is also available seasonally as part of a pre-planned event.
We offer a variety of programs to help familiarize individuals or groups with the great outdoors. Want to learn camping essentials, how to cook over a campfire, how to load a backpack for hiking, rock climbing, proper handling of canoes and kayaks, or basic first aid on the trail? Our mission is to make the outdoors welcoming and accessible to everyone. We are happy to work with you to set up and guide you through adventures that will increase your confidence and abilities in the outdoors.
